Perched at the top of the Ritzy cinema, balcony overlooking the green, bang in the middle of Brixton, an airy cafe hosts live music four nights a week. We were fortunate to be invited to play this month, on a double-bill with SonVer. Forestbrook as the folkestra; Hutch (trumpet, whistle), Jo (cello) and Brona (guitar, vocal, whistle, clarinet); reeled and jigged around a series of songs about folk. Stefan provided a tailor-made slideshow to the set. SonVer eased us into the later hours with their experimental filmic instrumental sounds to see.
